JD Carter Electrical Services has been established as a Peterborough based electrical contracting company since 2004 generally covering a working area of around 150 mile radius. The company currently employs approximately 5 electricians overseen by a management team of 3. The Company continually promotes in house development and training and understands the importance of Apprenticeships and continually aims to provide a minimum 2 Trainee Placements on Modern Apprenticeship Programmes every year. The Business currently operates from a purpose built and partially renovated 1600 sq ft offices, storage and workshop facilities.

Since 2004, we've been providing the highest quality workmanship to our Domestic, Commercial, Agricultural and Industrial clients.

Our ethos is simple, to supply our clients with an honest, reputable, reliable and proficient service using only the finest qualified electricians and trade professionals.

Over the years, the business has gone from strength to strength, being tasked with large contracts from Multi National Companies, Local Authority Councils through to Small Builder's contracts, and of course the local Public.

By providing an honest, realistic and understanding approach to all the projects we undertake, we aim to grow our client base through both rapport and recommendation. The business is based in Newborough just North of Peterborough, however we have and are more than happy to undertake projects throughout the UK.

Environmental Aims
At JDC we understand the environment to be extremely important and key to sustainability and are always looking to improve our carbon footprint.  Just a few of our key aims:

  • We return all unused materials, waste where practicable and items to our offices where they are sorted and re-used where possible
  • We have allocated bins for relevant materials that are not recycled
  • All lamps and electronic components are recycled as per the WEEE directive
  • A responsive and extremely reactive works scheduling software & programming system enables us to maximize efficiency in travelling between site visits & call outs to minimize our impact on the environment.

Training and Health & Safety
Health and Safety is of paramount importance in the operation of JD Carter Electrical Services. As a result, all works are Risk Assessed prior to commencement and Method Statements are provided to operatives for most activities. Training needs are assessed regularly and approved if necessary. Some of the training provided to our staff is as follows: “First Aid in the Workplace”, “IPAF aerial platform training”, ECS Health & Safety assessment”, Confined Space training”, “Asbestos Management” to name a few. JD Carter Electrical Services is an NICEIC approved contractor and are currently preparing to be an IS09001/2000 registered firm.
